Service fees

Note: This article does not cover fees for HubeX Partner Services, which are handled separately by connected partners exclusively on HubeX.

To help HubeX run smoothly and to cover the costs of the products and services we provide including hosting, online customer support, we charge a service fee when a service request or booking is confirmed or specific tools and services are selected.

Fees for Services

We have two different service fee structures for service request via Hubex: split-fee where both Service Providers and Members pay a service fee, and Service Provider only fee where only the Service Provider pays a service fee.

1. Split-fee

This fee structure is the most common. A service fee is deducted from the Service Provider’s payout, and a service fee is charged to Members.

Service provider’s  fee

Default Service Providers pay a 3% service fee and all other Service Providers pay a service fee of 6%. This fee is calculated from the service request booking subtotal (the service rate plus any other fee and additional user fee, if applicable, but excluding HubeX fees and taxes) and is automatically deducted from the Service Provider's payout.

To review the service fee charged for a particular booking:

  1. Go to Transaction history
  2. Next to the services that you want to review, select the service code
  3. Under Payout, you'll find the HubeX Service Fee

Member service fee

Members pay a service fee that is under 17% of the service request booking subtotal (the service rate plus any other applicable fee and additional user fee, if applicable, but excluding HubeX fees and taxes). The fee varies based on the type of service require and a variety of other factors and is displayed to members, including during checkout before they book and request for service.

2. Service Provider-only fee

The entire service fee is deducted from the service provider’s payout, and no HubeX service fee is paid by members.

The Service provider-only fee typically ranges from 14% to 20% and is mandatory for all services. It’s also mandatory for software-connected services.

4. Member Cancellation fee

Cancellation fee will be charged to members if after Service request is booked but has not progressed or processed by the service provider.

If the service request is confirmed and processed by service provider, full service fee will apply.

If the default service provider has accepted to provide the service and later declines to provide the service, full credits will apply to the member.

If the service provider is invited and then accept and later declines to provide the service, a cancellation service fee will apply unless a default service provider is selected in which case the member will get his full credits to reuse.

5. Service Provider’s Cancellation

 GST charges on service fees

GST will be charged on top of the Service Provider and Member service fee. The service fee will include GST charges when applicable.
